Because Matt now disputes my claim that “The Giants were my team since Week 4″ I am going to go ahead and put this one in writing right now…
When I am asked at my next job interview what my greatest strengths are I am going to lead off with the most useful: choosing winners of Reality TV shows.
Taylor Hicks (Idol: Season 5)
Sadie (Bachelor: Rome)
DeAnna (Bachelor: Douchebag)
Terry Fator (America’s Got Talent: Season 2)
Donnie (Making the Band: Season 3)
Sanjaya (Idol: Season 6)
Alright… well I can’t win them all. Although, Sanjaya did win me at least one last-longer bet.
To his credit Matt is pretty good at picking second/third place finishers: Daughtry, Agnese, Jenni, Blake Lewis.
Man, it has to be a little bit frustrating for him to have me as a friend. It would be like forcing Phil Mickelson to live in the same apartment as Tiger Woods. He’s pretty good, but I’m a lot better. Our superpowers aren’t just used on the big shows either. The two of us have to be the best Elimidate handicappers in maybe the entire world. I will concede one point though. Matt is much better at picking the winners of gay episodes of Next.
So anyways, Matt and I did an American Idol draft once the top 24 were announced, but before any of them actually performed. Our picks were based on auditions, Hollywood week, and (for both of our second round picks) their sweet hair or tattoos. Matt got the first pick and here is how it stands.
1st Pick (Matt): Michael Johns
2nd Pick (Jason): David Archuleta
3rd Pick (Jason): Carly Smithson
4th Pick (Matt): Jason Castro
My super sleeper pick was Danny Noriega, but so far his first two performances have been pretty weak. He needs to pull an Elliot Yamin (also my sleeper pick of that year) and start off kinda average but then finish super good. Still, I will take Danny in a last-longer over Jason Castro if anyone wants action.
If I had to put money on it… and that will probably happen at some point… my final four will be:

4th Place: Carly Smithson

P.S. Ozzie will win Survivor: Fans vs Favorites. He got robbed the first time around.
