Spoiler Alert!! (seriously…)
Here is the final hand from the 2007 Winter Poker Open at the Borgata in Atlantic City. The final table played out yesterday but the episode probably won’t be aired on the WPT until April or May.
![]() Chuck Kelley |
vs. | ![]() John Hennigan |
From Cardplayer.com :
Kelley raises to $550,000 and Hennigan makes the call. The flop comes 7s -3d – 3s and Hennigan checks. Kelley bets $700,000 and Hennigan makes the call. The turn is the Ah and Hennigan checks. Kelley bets $700,000 again and Hennigan again calls. Kelley accidentally exposes his hand of Qh – 7h. The hand is declared live and the river is the 3h. Hennigan moves all in and Kelley makes the call. Hennigan shows the Ac – 5h for a better full house and wins the pot.
Chuck Kelley finishes the tournament in 2nd place and earns $849,082.
John Hennigan wins the Borgata Winter Open, an entry into the WPT Championship and $1,606,223.
That is pretty awesome. If I am in Kelley’s position here I don’t know if I could fold. If you fold to his bet and he shows a bluff it would be incredibly embarrassing. Big ups to Hennigan.
