Nov 16
It’s late and I don’t have the time or energy to recap. Let’s just say that my gamble to enter this tournament has “paid off”.
I played cards for like 11 hours today and though the tournament started with 408 people, we are down to the final 9. The final table is being played tomorrow (wednesday) at 2pm pst. I have 66,000 in chips, good for about 4th place right now. ESPN owns the rights to the WSOP and they don’t allow cameras, but Zurek snapped a few covert shots when we were down to the final few tables. I’ll post a serious recap later, and believe me a lot of crazy shit happened, but for now wish me luck and when next we meet I’ll be $36,000 the richer.
There’s no way that the site will be updated live, but eventually you might be able to find the info for this event on cardplayer. I’m not allowed to use a cell phone while I’m playing, but Matt has volunteered to give updates to anyone who wants them. Give him a call, or else call me and then I’ll have him call you.
I’m not a superstitious person, but at the same time I am a devote member of the “Why fucking risk it?” club. As such, tomorrow I will be wearing the exact same clothes that I wore today, stuffing my pockets with the same crinkled papers that I carried today. Registration papers go in my right pocket, the sheet detailing blind structures goes in my left. The only signigicant change for tomorrow is that my wallet will have 4 less dollars in it, though only because my stomach needed Taco Bell. I don’t actually believe any of this will have an effect on my game, but at the same time…. why fucking risk it?
