Inspired by the latest post on Paul Phillips’ livejournal, I ran out to Barnes and Noble today to pick up a book on writing. Singular purchases being antithetical to my very existence, I ended up buying three other books as well.

No Plot? No Problem! by Chris Baty
- A low-stress, high-velocity guide to writing a novel in thirty days.

The Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks
- Lessons for surviving a zombie attack. Blades don’t need reloading. Get up the staircase, then destroy it. Use your head: cut off theirs.

The Alphabet of Manliness by Maddox
- This is the only sentence in the entire book that will give you a chance to adjust your face; take your time because it’s about to be rocked off – permanently.

The Elegant Universe by Brian Greene
- Superstrings, hidden dimensions, and the quest for the ultimate theory. Greene threatens to do for string theory what Stephen Hawking did for black holes.

Today’s shopping cart made for a pretty diverse, potentially confusing, and ultimately revealing snapshot of my reading habits and personality. While finding and buying these books, I was offered, each from a different store employee: two odd looks, two laughs, and one kudos (or ‘big ups’ if you will).

And just because it’s hilarious…

  3. best picture ever.

  4. wait, that’s when the w00t3r came out of retirement and won all the moneys for them right? even better.

  5. It’s team pokemon feat The w00t3r. Too bad 5p1c|3y isn’t in there too. That pic also features the ‘screen’ that we duct-taped to the garage door to play MvC2.

  6. Huge studs. We’d all probably still dominate.

  7. I’m probably the only one that looks pretty much the exact same. Bill wins most improved award lol.
