His life seems to me both sad and amazing, each to such a startling degree that it would feel made up if it were not actually true. And for all the good and the bad, it’s still sad to know that he’s gone. I’m not a die-hard fan by any means, but for my part I chose to see him – and will now choose to remember him – as the indisputably, completely ridiculously awesome dude that he used to be.
